In mid-September 2025, she mysteriously disappeared, and it was soon discovered she had hitched a ride on a delivery truck bound for a Lowe’s distribution center in North Carolina.
What followed was nothing short of incredible. Neighbors, rescue groups, and volunteers — nicknamed “Task Force Francine” — joined forces with Lowe’s employees to search tirelessly for her. Drones, tracking cameras, and countless hours of effort turned Francine’s story into global news, inspiring people around the world to root for her safe return. After more than two weeks missing, Francine was found safe on October 6, 2025, at the Lowe’s distribution facility in NC and joyfully reunited with her Richmond family.
